Paver installation
& repair.
Driveways, patios, pool decks, retaining walls, and outdoor kitchens across LA County. Base-first construction, written itemized proposals.
Most paver problems don't start with the stones.
Sinking and settling
Base wasn't properly compacted. Water cycles through and the surface follows.
Spreading edges
Edge restraints failed or were never installed. The field migrates outward.
Joint washout
Regular sand erodes. Weeds move in. Pavers loosen. Base gets wet.
Drainage failures
Grade established incorrectly. Water pools or runs toward the structure.

Most pricing variation isn't about the material. It's about what's underneath: base depth, drainage work, existing surface removal, and site access. We publish ranges so you can evaluate proposals accurately.

|---|---|
| Concrete pavers | $18-28 /sq ft |
| Travertine | $22-38 /sq ft |
| Porcelain | $25-42 /sq ft |
| Retaining walls | $45-120 /ln ft |
| Repair (lift & reset) | $8-15 /sq ft |
What a correct installation looks like
Excavation and grading
6-10 inches removed depending on application. Grade established to drain water away from structures.
Base compaction
Aggregate base installed in lifts and mechanically compacted. This step determines whether the surface lasts or fails.
Paver installation
Set by hand over 1" bedding sand. Cut on wet saw. Consistent joint spacing maintained throughout.
Edge restraints and joint sand
Aluminum or plastic edge restraints spiked into base. Polymeric sand swept into joints, compacted, and water-activated.
Where we work
We install, repair, and restore pavers throughout Los Angeles – driveways, patios, pool decks, retaining walls, and outdoor living spaces. The work is straightforward when the base is built correctly. When it isn’t, you get settling, cracking, and drainage problems that keep coming back.
That usually shows up as:
- individual stones sinking or lifting
- joints washing out after rain
- water pooling where it shouldn’t
- edges spreading and losing alignment
In most cases the pavers themselves are fine. The base preparation and drainage integration are where failures originate. That is the difference between a surface that lasts twenty years and one you call us about in three.
