The LA paver market is dominated by a handful of concrete paver manufacturers whose products are stocked locally, available in a wide range of colors and finishes, and backed by product warranties. Knowing the major brands helps you evaluate proposals and understand what you’re buying.
Belgard
The largest paver manufacturer in North America. Belgard produces a wide range of concrete pavers from basic driveway units to large-format architectural slabs. Their Mega Arbel, Urbana, and Holland Stone lines are common in LA residential work. Belgard products are widely available through local distributors and are a safe specification for any standard residential application. Their product consistency is high — less color variation lot to lot than some competitors.
Angelus Pavers
A California-based manufacturer with a strong presence in the LA market. Angelus products are manufactured locally, which means shorter lead times and better availability for repair matching. Their concrete paver range includes tumbled finishes that approximate the look of natural stone at lower cost. Good option for projects where the natural stone appearance is desired without travertine or porcelain pricing.
Orco Pavers
Another Southern California manufacturer. Orco’s product range overlaps with Belgard and Angelus in most standard applications. Their local manufacturing makes them competitive on price and availability. Common in San Fernando Valley residential work.
Boral / Concrete Partners
Produce concrete pavers and wall block for the Western US market. Less dominant in the premium residential segment but competitive for standard driveway and patio work where cost is the primary driver.
Which Brand We Specify
Brand recommendation depends on the application, the color and finish you’re targeting, and what’s in stock at local distributors at the time of your project. We work with all major manufacturers and specify based on what best fits your project — not brand loyalty or dealer programs. For a color match on a repair project, we identify the existing manufacturer and source from the same line wherever possible.
Natural Stone Sources
Travertine, flagstone, and other natural stone used in LA paver work comes primarily from importers and stone yards, not manufacturers with branded product lines. Key local sources include stone yards in the City of Industry, Commerce, and Chatsworth. Material is sold by lot — natural variation between lots is inherent in the product. For large projects or projects where consistent appearance is critical, we recommend purchasing all material from a single lot at the outset rather than supplementing later.
